Über den/die AutorIn

Thierry Robberecht (1960) has two children and lives in Brussels (Belgium). He has been writing children's books for fifteen years now, often about subjects that children find difficult to talk about, e.g. secrets, death, envy, and rage. He likes to create characters who feel like they don't fit in. His own childhood is an excellent source of inspiration for that.
Philippe Goossens (Brussels, 1963) as a child devoured all The Adventures of Tintin. With his passion for drawing it didn't come as a surprise that he followed illustration classes at the Saint Luc Institute. When he got his diploma, he tasted a little of everything that has to do with drawing and graphics (advertisements, animated movies...) but soon he realized he wanted to put his talents in use solely for children's' picture books. He has illustrated numerous books already.'When the pencil makes it journey along with the paper, table, walls, everything disappears and all kinds of incredible sounds become audible. Then we can choose where we want to be: are we in the woods? In a beautiful palace? Amongst strange animals or in between people we love? Every day is a new day....'
