Society is defined as a group of people living together and constitutes a single related, interdependent community. Society could be a small group of people in a specific locality as a colony, a neighbourhood or a larger group of people as in a country. These groups are usually defined by a common pattern of life or lifestyle. Culture is commonly understood as a way of life. It is the sum total of all reactions of a common group of people, a society, usually reflected in the behaviour, attitudes, beliefs, values and practices. Culture has been defined in a number of ways and researchers from different fields have tried to understand its significance from varied dimensions.
