Friedrich Glauser, geb. am 4. Februar 1896 in Wien. Die Mutter war Österreicherin, der Vater Schweizer. Sein Leben war von Rastlosigkeit geprägt, unzählige Orte und Stationen säumten seinen Weg: Schulen in der Schweiz und in Österreich, Erziehungsheime, Gefängnisse und Psychiatrische Kliniken. Friedrich Glauser lebte in Frankreich, Belgien und Italien, war lange Zeit morphiumsüchtig, verbrachte einige Jahre in der Fremdenlegion und nahm teil an der Dadaismus-Bewegung in Zürich. Er starb am 8. Dezember 1938 in Nervi bei Genua.
