Mónica Rodríguez nació en Oviedo en 1969. Licenciada en Ciencias Físicas, llegó a Madrid en el año 1993 a hacer un máster de Energía Nuclear y desde 1994 hasta el año 2009 estuvo trabajando en el Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT). En 2003 publicó su primer libro infantil y en 2009 dejó el trabajo en dicho centro para dedicarse por entero a la literatura. Tiene publicados más de una treintena de libros. Ha recibido numerosos premios y reconocimientos, como el Ala Delta, el premio Anaya, el premio Alandar y el premio Fundación Cuatrogatos y ha sido.

Mónica Rodríguez was born in Oviedo in 1969. With a degree in Physical Sciences, she came to Madrid in 1993 to do a master's degree in Nuclear Energy and from 1994 to 2009 she was working at the Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT). In 2003 she published her first children's book and in 2009 she left her job at the center to dedicate herself entirely to literature. She has published more than thirty books.
