Beschreibung

On a Beautiful Day is an uplifting and inspiring novel from bestselling author Lucy Diamond. A transformative tale of friendship and love amidst life's unforeseen twists.

'A new Lucy Diamond book is one of the happiest highlights of my calendar' - Katie Fforde, author of A Country Escape

What starts as a joyous birthday lunch in Manchester spirals into stark, life-altering moments, as the friends bear witness to a shocking accident.

For Laura, it's a wake-up call to heed the ticking of her biological clock. Sensible Jo finds herself throwing caution to the wind in a new relationship. Eve, who has been trying to ignore the worrying lump in her breast, feels helpless and out of control. And happy-go-lucky India is drawn to one of the victims of the accident, causing long-buried secrets to rise to the surface..

On a Beautiful Day is a novel about the startling and unexpected turns life can take. It's about luck - good and bad - and about finding bravery and resilience when your world is in turmoil. Above all, it's about friendship, togetherness and hope.

Über den/die AutorIn

Lucy Diamond grew up in Nottingham and went to university in Leeds where she studied English Literature. After graduating, she worked in publishing and at the BBC, and in her spare time she began writing children's books under a number of different pen names.

Two small children later, an evening class in creative writing motivated her to try a longer piece of fiction and explore some of her own feelings about motherhood. This eventually became a novel, Any Way You Want Me, and she was thrilled when Pan Macmillan made her an offer of publication.

Now the author of fourteen novels and a Sunday Times bestselling author, Lucy writes with warmth and honesty about the joy and surprises, as well as the complications, that love, family and friendships can bring.

Lucy now lives in Bath with her husband and three children and writes full-time.
