He has taught basic graph theory at undergraduate level for more than ten years. Professor Rahman specialized in theoretical computer science and researches on algorithms, graph theory, graph drawing, computational geometry and bioinformatics. Prof. Rahman is a Fellow of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences and a Senior Member of IEEE.
