Description

It's 2091 and times on Bruce Walker's Wairarapa (New Zealand) farmlet are tough. The sheep need upgrading, the milking robot is bored, the car's paranoid, the sheepdog is run off his paws with union work, the landlord is desperate, and the super-intelligent teenagers are up to God knows what. But when the kids come up with a cunning plan to make the family some extra cash, and two sheep are rustled, a chain of events are set in motion that bring dog terrorists, triads and bikers into bizarre conflict. No doubt about it, she's a pretty strange future for the average bloke to cope with. A comedy tale colliding genetic engineering, robotics and New Zealand's farming culture and heritage with its changing geopolitical role in the Pacific.

Author

Peter King has always been interested in writing, and decided to take his interest further by writing a book during the COVID-19 lockdowns from his job as a Teaching Assistant at a primary school. Prior to working at a school, he trained as a design draughtsman, working on domestic and industrial controls. Another passion of his is sport-Peter is a keen badminton player and golfer. He also enjoys angling and following football and cricket. Peter spends as much time with his grandchildren, who share the same interests. Being a father and a grandfather, this has given him plenty of experiences that he has been able to build into his book.
